[ABE.pm] -MCPAN problems

I went to install the Perl TK debugger (my fave) on my new box and it
turns out I didn't have it installed. When I went to install it via the
CPAN module, it failed because Tk.pm wasn't installed. No biggie, I
thought, I've done this before.

This time, TK failed to install (the tail of the messages is posted
below). From what little I could find on the internets [sic] this isn't
unusual, but I couldn't find a solution.

So, two questions:

1. When ptkdb didn't find Tk.pm installed, it failed instead of asking
me if it should install ("follow"?) the dependencies. How do I re-init
the CPAN module to install the dependencies but asking me at each step?

2. How do I install Tk.pm? I'll be happy to force it, I just don't know
how.

As promised, the tail of 'perl -MCPAN -e "install Tk"':
